“I’m grateful for my new husband and the extraordinary life we live together. Thank you, Lyons Den, for giving us a place to meet!” —Michelle Swiatkowski Bass

“I’m extremely thankful for having Lyons Den in my life, which literally changed my life by bringing Michelle and me together. I’m thankful for Michelle, who makes my life so much brighter and more fulfilling than I could have ever imagined. And it’s cliché but true: I’m so thankful for my family and friends. Having Michelle’s and my families come together at our wedding and becoming one family was a truly amazing experience.” —Andrew Bass

“I’m thankful for every time my kids call me mama instead of mommy or mom—there’s a sweet innocence and tenderness that comes with it. I’m thankful for my family, our health, and our home; for sweaty practices that make me feel like anything is possible; for my kids’ giggles, snuggles, kisses, imagination, never-ending stories, and everything in between.” —Veronica Naughter

“I am grateful for the amazing sense of community within New York City and at the Den. I’m so grateful to be a part of Lyons Den. I’m super grateful for my kitty cat, Brie, who always snuggles right beside me and makes the most adorable cat sounds.” —Diamond Zuchlinski

“I am thankful for my mentors and teachers, who often double as my friends and loved ones. In their own ways, they each inspire me to be up to something bigger in my life, and remind me that the best place to begin anew is not in the past, but in the present moment. I am thankful for the people who take a stand for me by telling me the things I may not like to hear. Out of these situations arise endless possibility, and for that I am now and will be forever thankful.” —John Murray

“I’m most grateful for the community of students, teachers, and mentors at Lyons Den that have supported my growth as a teacher and as a person throughout this past year. I taught my very first yoga class last November and became a Certified Baptiste teacher this November. I couldn’t have accomplished any of this without our powerful, compassionate community that truly stands for one another’s greatness.” —Julie Brazitis

“I’m thankful for big things: my family (including the animals), New York City, this community, love, courage, and faith. For little things: pumpkin pie (I’m a huge fan), receiving handwritten cards and letters, the sound of Josie snoring, second gear in a really great car, being woken up with fresh coffee, and waitlists on the regular. And I’m thankful for helpful things: my coffee thermos, Sharpies, delivery service of everything you could ever need or want in NYC, sunglasses (thank God for them), the fact that the traffic lights are timed in New York City (pure brilliance), and bandanas.” —Bethany Lyons

“I’m thankful for my family—my husband, daughter, and dog, but also our enormous extended family. I’m thankful for jobs I enjoy and am excited about, for coffee, water, big salads, and the subway. And yoga. Duh.” —Camille Heller

“I’m thankful for the people in my life who love me unconditionally, for my hair that seemingly only looks better the more I teach and practice in a hot room, and for Fresh Direct delivering heavy things to my apartment (always on time).” —Meg McNeal

“I’m thankful for cats being afraid of cucumbers, for fruits and nuts, for holiday puns (“Menorasaurus!”), for a seriously great pair of parents, and for roommates who are as excited about pickling as I am.” —Annette Shantur
