JESSICA WILLIS
Jessica spent years as a competitive athlete and began her own yoga practice in 2007 after a series of knee injuries. She has completed Baptiste Level One and Two Trainings, has extensive training in the art of assisting, and draws on her knowledge of the human body from her experience as a massage practitioner. She loves practicing arm balances and inversions, holding poses to build strength and the flow of the vinyasa practice. Her teaching style integrates awareness of mind and spirit with the physical body. She is also an avid cyclist and runner.

Since embarking on the path of yoga, her life has transformed and she is grateful to this ancient practice, continuously working to give back what she has been given.

Jessica lives in the West Village with her roommate and her roommate’s cat. No pets of her own…yet.

INTENTION AS A LYONS DEN POWER YOGA TEACHER:
I want to build connection to people and help them gain more stability and stature in their bodies and lives. I want to create play with my co-workers and students while crafting workshops that challenge and ignite their enthusiasm. Looking down the road, I would like to take my love of anatomy and incorporate it into a teacher training.

FAVORITE NYC HAUNT:
Lower Manhattan. I enjoy running the Hudson Trail to the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridge; it’s quiet and energizing.

HOME:
I am from Santa Fe, NM and spent the last decade in Seattle WA.
