Do you have a second professional life?:
I’m an amateur musician and professional violin teacher. I’ve been playing the violin since I was four, and I am often reminded I am a beginner. You can find me playing Bach or Balkan music in the subway.

What are your outside interests outside the studio?
Walking, thrifting, biking, sitting, cooking, sipping, running, listening. I believe in multitasking so long as it’s listening to music and doing one other thing. I moved to New York in February 2016, so I am meeting new people and seeing new places. I’m a big fan of mindfulness and aim to create community through meditation.

Where’s your favorite space to rejuvenate in the city?
Prospect Park.

Favorite pre- and post-yoga snacks/meals:
Hands down favorite post yoga meal is a green smoothie. People who know me can attest that I make the greenest. I use too many vegetables and they taste gross and that’s why it’s good for you. But really, any food is good post-yoga food.

What’s your favorite pose?
Dancer’s Pose.

The pose I have a complicated relationship with:
Upward Facing Dog.

What song can you put on repeat?
Rock Your Body by Justin Timberlake.

I love:
seeing students try something new.

I want to:
be a rockstar.

Yoga gives me:

When I was little I wanted to be:
a bird.

I want to change:
the inner dialogue.

I want to give:
strangers the feeling of being in savasana.

When I wake up I:
I’m still asleep.

When I teach I feel:
connected.

When I practice I get:
fall in love with it all again.
