Beyond asana ~ beyond alignment ~ take your practice to the next level through this journey into experiencing more balance, empowerment, healing and trust in yourself. In this workshop you will learn how to recognize and bring into balance the seven chakras – the basic energy centers of the body – with Den Instructor & Baptiste Certified Teacher, Terri Barnett. Join us for an informative, hot n’ sweaty flow as you learn how to regulate your energy systems by moving through intentional, specific sequences of poses, designed to support you in recognizing where you are deficient, where you are in excess, and bring you holistically back into balance. What makes this workshop different from a regular class?
The poses and the flow are specific to the balancing of each chakra starting from the 1st Root Chakra, and moving up to the 7th Crown Chakra. Some poses we practice in the Baptiste flow and some poses may be new to you. The poses are not complicated so the focus is on instructing how to get into the pose, then training you as the student to recognize overload or deficiency and how to use the pose to bring balance. Each chakra will be explained in depth, mostly during the holds of the poses.

You will leave rejuvenated, rinsed and balanced like never before.
You will also leave with a Chakra Balancing Card on how to do the work of the workshop – on your own!

Terri Barnett became fascinated with chakras since she had her first chakra reading about 20 years ago. Over the last 6 years, Terri has studied and created a yoga-based format in which to demonstrate how yoga poses can help to balance the energy in our bodies. Terri explains, “I know that when I feel off balance, I to try listen to my body and trust my intuition. I then turn to the poses that will help me create more balance.”

  • Teach time is approximately 45 minutes allowing for time before class to get settled, and time after to prepare to leave.

  • Children are encouraged to wear “play clothes.” If it works for the playground, it will work for yoga.

  • Adults are encouraged to stay if they believe their child will need additional assistance with the potty, moral support, or if they want to stay to observe and learn how to play yoga! If you choose to stay, you may observe from the back of the room, or wait in the lobby. Staying on site is not required. There is a great coffee shop (BAKED!) on the first floor of our building where parents may wait as well.

  • Children are encouraged to wear active wear that allows for lots of movement and stretching.

  • Adults can stay on site if they like, however it is not required. Adults will not be in the yoga room during class for this age group. If they choose to stay, they may wait in the lobby. There is also a coffee shop (BAKED!) below the studio where parents can wait for their children.
